Willie M. Tindle

Cannelton, IndianaWillie M. Tindle, 79, passed away on May 13, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 16, 1946, to Francis T. “Bud” and Mary M. (Richey) Marchand.

A graduate of Lockyear Business College, where she earned her associates degree, Willie had worked at Tell City Chair Company, Masterbrand and was the owner and operator of Willie’s Upholstery for more than 40 years.

Willie enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time at “The Camp” in Rome, on the river. Willie’s true passion was music, and she loved to sing. Carolyn and the Country Pioneers was the first band she sang with, followed by Cross Wind Band and Nightlife Band. She and her husband, Donnie, owned Nightlife Karaoke Cafe, in Cannelton for twenty five years.

She was a member of Hancock Christian Church in Hawesville.

Surviving is her husband, Donnie Tindle; sons, Charlie Little (Kathie) and Ron Little (Katie); stepchildren, Kenny Tindle and Kim Tindle; brothers, Tom Marchand (Dot) and Buddy Marchand; grandchildren, Amanda Murry (Rachel), Alex Little and Travis Bolin; seven great grandchildren and her lifelong friend, Betty Bopst. Also not to go unnoticed, Willie’s caregivers, Katie Little and Carol June Cullen, who took the best care of her.

Willie is preceded in death by her parents and stepson, Kevin Tindle.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CDT on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Brother Roger Jarboe will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2:00-7:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical United Church of Christ Benevolent Fund.
