Xavier Thomas Dawson, 9, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from an ATV accident in Evanston, Indiana.
He was born on June 27, 2016, to Jordan Dawson and Hayley Roederer. Xavier had just finished third grade at Lincoln Trail Elementary.
A typical boy, Xavier enjoyed being outdoors and was happiest when he was fishing, camping, mudding, or playing Roblox with his friends and siblings. Xavier also liked to build things from Lego’s to engines and anything in between. He also liked watches, trucks, tractors, and bugs and secretly loved The Nightmare Before Christmas.
He is survived by his mother, Hayley Roederer; father, Jordan Dawson; step-father, Michael Cronin; siblings, Blaize Flamion, Ameila and Gemma Cronin; half-siblings, Anastasia, Tobias and Shelby Dawson; grandparents, Sheerie and Jason Johnson, Matthew Roederer (Leanne Ward), Pam and Todd Schaefer, Melinda Elliott and Jeremy and Kerstie Dawson; great grandparents, Philip and Pam Roederer, Thomas and Neida Werner, Richard and Mary Cassidy, Chester Dawson, Greta Carroll and George Williams; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding him in death was his great grandmother, Sandra Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial to follow in Walker Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 2:00-7:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
